About Us
Children's Volunteer Health Network was created in 2005 to provide children in Walton County with free access to dental services.
It started with a boy named Tyler
Before there was CVHN, there was one young boy named Tyler. He attended Kid's Club at Point Washington United Methodist Church after school. Tyler was withdrawn, he never smiled and was acting out towards family and friends. His demeanor captured the attention of Tricia, a church volunteer.
Tricia discovered that Tyler was being bullied at school for his jagged teeth. Kids called him "monster mouth," but his family could not afford the dental care he needed. Tricia knew she had to do something. She called in the help of friends at the church to find someone who could help. A local dentist offered to provide braces to Tyler, free of charge.
This dental intervention changed Tyler's life for the better. Tyler began smiling, making new friends and even ended up becoming captain of his wrestling team.

In Memory of
Denise Lisciotti
We were all extremely fortunate to have worked with Denise Lisciotti, our Director of Dental Operations who has helped create thousands of smiles for the children of our community for 13 years. The memories of being surrounded by her kind spirit, her passion to serve and her tremendous work ethic will live forever in our hearts and in our mission.
