How Did We Begin?

The catalyst for CVHN was a child who attended an after school outreach program, the Kids Club, that met once a week at Point Washington Methodist Church.  He needed healthcare and his family could not afford it. A compassionate and visionary woman took the lead and recruited an orthodontist who volunteered to provide this child free treatment. With this success, a small group of people began recruiting doctors, dentists, mental health professionals and the whole array of healthcare providers to donate their time to serve kids whose families couldn’t afford healthcare.

Over 80 healthcare professionals now volunteer their time to help area children.  Additionally, community volunteers help school nurses, drive patients to their appointments, help the healthcare professionals, and assist with office work.
