Zachary Billingsley – Executive Director
Zach Billingsley, a native of Valley, Alabama, graduated from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama in 1999 with a B.A. in Business Management. Zach relocated to Santa Rosa Beach in 2002 to work for Coastal Bank and Trust. Zach began his career with the bank in the Management Associate Program, and then moved on to hold several positions within the bank as an Assistant Manager, Branch Manager and Commercial Banker in Destin.
Zach joined CVHN as a volunteer and mentor in 2006. He was inspired by CVHN’s work and his mentoring experience while volunteering with CVHN and wanted to get more involved. He joined the board in 2007 and served as CVHN’s Treasurer for the past two years. Zach combines leadership, management and financial skills with his passion to help kids as he leads CVHN into its sixth year.
Zach and his wife Hannah, who is also a CVHN volunteer, reside in Santa Rosa Beach with their new daughter, Emerson Grace and their dog, Tober.
Christina Forsyth – Client Care Coordinator
We are excited to introduce Christina Forsyth as the new client care coordinator for CVHN. Having recently completed her Masters in Counseling, she will be a valuable addition to our team as she works with children in the Walton and Okaloosa areas. Christina’s experience covers a wide range of areas including: individual and couples counseling, mentoring young girls, assisting and teaching homeless, writing curriculum, and sponsoring workshops. Prior to joining CVHN, Christina interned at an Atlanta-based wellness center for women.
Christina attended Auburn University and received her undergraduate degree from Samford University located in Birmingham, AL and Masters degree from Richmont Graduate University in Atlanta, GA. After spending summers here for over a decade, she now calls Sandestin home.
Elaine Mott – Accounting
Elaine has served CVHN in several capacities for the past 4 years. She has been a volunteer, a member of the Finance Committee and became our part time accountant in 2010. Elaine owns Custom Accounting Solutions, LLC which she founded in 1984 which is a tax, accounting and consulting firm. Elaine is an Advanced Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor. She was one of the first to pass the rigorous exam to become Advanced upon inception of the program in 2007. Elaine is a focused and passionate member of our team who brings over 20 years of accounting experience to CVHN. Elaine enjoys camping and biking. Elaine and her husband Claude reside in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
Melissa Wheeler – Marketing & Development Coordinator
Melissa Wheeler relocated to the beautiful beaches of Walton County in 2003 after vacationing here all of her life. She is a Marketing and Communications professional who brings with her over twelve years of public and community relations experience spanning both the public and private sector. Melissa received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing along with her Master’s in Public Administration from Valdosta State University. She is a graduate of Leadership Walton and a founding member of the BUILD Council, a group working to create a community-wide mentoring program for young professionals in Northwest Florida. Melissa became involved with CVHN in 2008 as a volunteer and is now honored to further her service as a part-time member of the team.
Mobile Dental Clinic
Denise Johnston, RDH – Mobile Dental Clinic Program Manager
Denise is a Registered Dental Hygienist and a long-time resident of the Emerald Coast area, having moved to Fort Walton Beach in the early 1970’s. She is a graduate of Choctawhatchee High School and holds an A.S. degree in dental hygiene from Pensacola Junior College. She has been a practicing dental hygienist for over twenty-five years.
Denise was very excited when this once-in-a-lifetime career opportunity became available. She joined Children’s Volunteer Health Network as the Mobile Dental Clinic Program Manager in June 2008.
Denise and her husband live in Shalimar and have two sons. She is active in her church and enjoys working with the youth. She participated in a mission trip to an orphanage in Mexico and helped provide dental care to needy children. Denise feels blessed to be a part of caring for these precious children and teaching them how to keep a healthy smile for a lifetime.
Kelly Taylor, RDH – Mobile Dental Clinic Hygienist
Kelly moved to Fort Walton Beach in 1982 when her husband, who was active duty Air Force, received orders to the area. They moved from South Carolina, where she spent most of her childhood. Kelly has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for thirteen years. She received an A.S. degree in dental hygiene from Pensacola Junior College.
Kelly worked in private practice until the God-given opportunity to work for CVHN arose. She is extremely excited to be part of the team at Children’s Volunteer Health Network and is enjoying her time spent on the “Just for Grins” Mobile Dental Clinic serving the needs of the school children in Walton and Okaloosa counties.
Kelly has been an active volunteer with several different extracurricular activities in the Okaloosa County school system for many years and loves working with children. She and her husband have two daughters and live in Fort Walton Beach.
Dr. Gary S. Crosson, DMD – Mobile Dental Clinic Dentist
Dr. Crosson joined us in the summer of 2010 to become our dentist on the Mobile Dental Clinic. Dr. Crosson is a licensed State of Florida Dentist who has over 27 years experience as a General Dentist. He has recently worked for Prison Health Services as a dentist and a professor at Northwest Florida State College. He owned his own private practice from 1985-2008 and is well known in the area as an excellent dentist and even better person. Along with his experience, Dr. Crosson brings a fun, team oriented personality to our Mobile Dental Clinic staff. Dr. Crosson resides in Niceville, Florida.
