Children’s Volunteer Health Network Honors Volunteers

In his 2002 State of the Union address, President Bush issued a challenge to all Americans to make time to help their neighbors, communities, and Nation through service. In 2003, President Bush created the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation to find ways to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers are making in our Nation. The President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation created the President’s Volunteer Service Award program as a way to thank and honor Americans who engage in volunteer service.

Children’s Volunteer Health Network Hires Executive Director

Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) would like to welcome Dr. Mary Konovsky who has joined the organization as its Executive Director. Dr. Konovsky received her Ph.D., M. A. & M.B.A. from Indiana University. She was a faculty member and Senior Associate Dean at the Freeman School of Tulane University before she moved to Santa Rosa Beach 3 years ago. While at Tulane, Mary was a founder of the Freeman School’s Ph.D. program for faculty at top business schools in Latin America. She is published in several academic journals. Mary received the Freeman School’s Outstanding Service Award for exceptional service and commitment to the Freeman School and the Tulane community for her work from 1986-2004.
