Stephanie Brannon   |   Board Chair

Stephanie graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in marketing and sales.
In 2005 she moved to Destin to take her first sales position with a non-profit organization that headed up The Boeing Championship at Sandestin. After a successful tournament, she furthered her sales experience with Novartis Pharmaceuticals selling cardiovascular medication in Northwest Florida.  Stephanie currently works in marketing for SETCO Services and is in charge of all sponsorships and charity work.

Stephanie has a passion for children who are less fortunate and believes in CVHN and the difference it is making locally.  She also enjoys volunteering with other children’s charities in the area.

Stephanie and her husband George reside in Miramar Beach with their daughter Harper (6) and Bellamy (2).

 Mike Gavigan   |   Vice Board Chair

Aportrait1Mike discovered South Walton during Spring Breaks and Summer vacations in high school.  He and his wife Mimi, daughter Jamie and son Murphy lived in Little Rock, AR before moving to the area in 2014 and making their dream come true.  Mike grew up in Nashville, TN.  He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and second major in Computer Applications.  Mike previously served on the boards of Susan G. Komen Arkansas and Down Syndrome Association of Middle Tennessee.  He also served as an elder at Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, AR.  Mike is the President of the digital marketing firm Advisio Solutions, LLC.  He loves everything to do with the beach and the outdoors, coaching his son’s soccer team, and seeking the next adventure.  Mike feels blessed to be able to serve the children of Walton and Okaloosa Counties through CVHN.

Dale Dalbey   |   Past Chair

Dale Dalbey, and his son, Noah, joined the Santa Rosa Beach community in August 2011 after visiting the area for many years.

Previously the Dalbey’s lived in Birmingham, Alabama where Dale was very active in community and church activities and leadership positions.  Professionally, Dale worked in the credit union industry and credit union trade association industry for more than 20 years.  During that time, he lead a $200-million credit union as well as serving in both professional and elected leadership positions with the Alabama Credit Union League.  He has significant experience in governmental relations, strategic planning and board/management relations. He hopes some of these experiences will be helpful in his service on the CVHN board.

Since moving to the beach, Dale has begun a new career is the owner of Synergy Home Care of the Emerald Coast.  Synergy provides personal care services for seniors and other who need assistance to remain independent in their homes.  This experience has also sparked Dale’s interest in health care policy and how we together can help build a healthier community for everyone.

Jane Bahr  |  Founding Board Member

Jane BahrJane Bahr is a Birmingham, AL native. She and her husband Greg moved to the 30-A area in 2003. Jane and Greg are active members of Point Washington United Methodist Church where CVHN started and it’s first child, Tyler, was served. They are happy to be part of such a giving and spiritual community.

While in Birmingham, Jane was involved with Cystic Fibrosis for twenty years as President, Treasurer, Secretary and Board Member. She also served on the board of Girl’s Inc. for ten years. Her primary focuses for Girl’s Inc. were fundraising and community awareness of the need to raise the self-esteem of young women.

Her passion for CVHN is fundraising and telling anyone who will listen, the CVHN story. She believes CVHN could not help the uninsured and underinsured children in the area without the generous help of this great community.

Jane’s professional career is with Employment Screening Services based in Birmingham, AL (www.es2.com) ESS does background and drug screening for companies locally, nationally and internationally.

Margaret Depew   |   Board Member

Margaret Depew Bio Pic 08-15-15Having recently relocated to Santa Rosa Beach after living in Fort Myers for 25 years, Margaret is happily married to David Depew and enjoys, boating, kayaking and paddle boarding.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse, her background is in title insurance, construction lending, land development project management and estate planning. She currently works part time for Morris-Depew  Associates in marketing and human resource management.

Margaret  volunteered for seven years at the Pace Center for Girls Lee County. She was a mentor to at-risk girls as well as facilitated classes for sex education, anger management and life skills. Her focus is to look past oneself and reach out a helping hand to the less fortunate working to make the community that one lives in a better place.

Cindy Garrard   |   Board Member

Cindy Garrard fell in love with the Emerald Coast when she vacation here in high school.  She grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ and moved to Huntsville AL in high school. Cindy graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations in 2002. She started her banking career in Atlanta and moved to here in 2004. Cindy met her husband Jeff in 2007 and married in 2008 and they reside in Santa Rosa Beach. They have 2 daughters Lillian(4) and Sophia(2). Cindy is AVP of Residential Lending for Hancock Bank. Cindy is a sustainer of the Junior League of the Emerald Coast and was on the board of directors for the Destin Rotary Club. She also sits on the finance committee for Point Washington United Methodist Church. She loves to spend time with her family and loves to travel. Cindy feels grateful to be able to serve our area’s children and their families with health services through CVHN along with all the volunteers and staff.

John Roberts | Board Member

Formerly an attorney for an Am Law 100 law firm in Birmingham, Alabama, and in private practice in Nashville, TN, Mr. Roberts now resides in Santa Rosa Beach with his with his wife, Beth and three children (Anna (7), Graham (5) and Josephine (1)). Mr. Roberts is active in the Walton County community as a member of the Walton County Planning Commission and the Walton County Board of Code Enforcement. Mr. Roberts also serves on the Board of Directors for the Point Washington United Methodist Church Preschool. Mr. Roberts is also an ardent saltwater fisherman, an avid world traveler, and a passionate college football fan.

Mr. Roberts is an experienced trial lawyer and has worked on a wide range of litigation matters in both Federal and State courts around the country. Mr. Roberts is licensed to practice law in Florida, Alabama and Tennessee and is licensed to appear before all Federal Courts in those jurisdictions as well as the United States Supreme Court. 

Kim Holley | Board Member

After graduating with a degree in Banking and Finance from Florida State University, Kim moved to the Destin/South Walton area in 1986.  She has worked in the banking industry for the past 30 years.  Kim is the Retail Market Manager for Trustmark Bank, where she has been employed for the last 22 years.

Kim loves serving her community and has been active on numerous boards including the Walton Area Chamber, Caring & Sharing, the Florida Bankers Educational Foundation, and the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation.  She and her husband, Matt, also volunteer in the nursery at their church, Crosspoint United Methodist.  Kim is excited for the opportunity to serve on the CVHN board, knowing the significant impact it makes in the lives of so many children in our area.

Kim enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.  She is an avid Seminole football fan!  Kim and Matt live in Bluewater Bay with their children Kristin (17), Peyton (13) and Karman (11).

Sarah Svoboda  |   Board Member

Sarah Svoboda was born and raised in St. Louis, MO.  She and her husband Blake Svoboda moved to the Emerald Coast in 2005. They fell in love with beach and the community and have been here ever since.  Sarah graduated from Columbia College in Columbia, MO with a degree in Psychology. She has a true love and passion for people and helping others.  Her career began in Sales working for The Walton Sun back in 2005. She currently works for Plexus as a health and wellness ambassador.

She has two children, Brenner and Dominic who are her world! They are the reason she became so interested in our organization and helping children in our community.  She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and being outdoors, especially the beach.  They are avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fans and love the Missouri Tigers!

 Kurtis Wolff   |   Board Member

Kurtis left South Florida to attend FSU where he met his wife Gay, and they were married in her home town, DeFuniak Springs. While they have lived throughout the US (Boca Raton, Atlanta, New York and LA), they have enjoyed spending time seasonally in their Santa Rosa Beach home

 

of 20 years and in 2016 decided to live the “30A” lifestyle full time. They both enjoy travel adventures and since their two adult sons live in Colorado they visit there often.

Kurtis is a CPA and risk management professional.  He has been an owner/partner and national leader in the Deloitte and CohnReznick accounting firms and has worked with clients and their Boards in the US and internationally over the past 35 years.  Dr. Gay Wolff, Kurtis’s wife, teaches Mythology and Literature at the University of West Florida. Gay and Kurtis have taken two very different career paths and Kurtis notes what a blessing it has been to have such rich and diverse experiences in their lives.  Kurtis currently serves on and consults with other Boards including Childspring International based in Atlanta. Kurtis is so incredibly grateful for being able to use his life experiences to contribute locally with CVHN in improving the lives of these precious children.

 Dirk Hoppe   |   Board Member

Dirk was born and raised near the Texas coast.  He attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems.  He began his career in the technology field in 1998 and has worked with or consulted for companies such as Oracle, AT&T, Dell, Answerthink, Johnson Controls and Newgistics.  After having grown up vacationing in the area, Dirk and his family relocated from Austin, Texas to the 30A area in early 2014.  Dirk enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son’s sports teams, watching college football, fishing and doing philanthropic work for local charities whose mission is to help children, such as CVHN.

Annie Stutts   |   Board Member

Annie Stutts is a former pubic and charter school teacher. In 2010, under the leadership of Washington, D.C. Mayor, Adrian Fenty, and Chancellor of D.C. Public Schools, Michelle Rhee, Annie became the city-wide Autism Director.

Under Annie’s leadership, her early intervention and preschool program proved to change the way the city addressed early intervention, creating an abundance of wrap around services for children as well as their families. In addition, she reduced lawsuits by half in one year. After leaving this department, she consulted on the development of private schools and early intervention programs for children with special needs; assessing young children with developmental delays and advocating for children with disabilities, primarily low-income children in inner-city Washington, D.C.

Annie holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Catholic University of America. After 16 years of living in downtown DC she and her family decided it was time for a change of pace, and moved to Walton County. She currently resides in Santa Rosa Beach with her husband and young daughter.
